We're Hiring: Physical Trainer for Women's Cricket

Sri Lanka Cricket is seeking a qualified and experienced Physical Trainer to join the Women's Cricket Program. The selected candidate will play a key role in enhancing the physical fitness, strength, and conditioning of our athletes, supporting them in achieving peak performance on and off the field.

Reporting To:

• Physical Performance Manager – High Performance Centre

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

• Complete physical fitness profiling on assigned players, create appropriate exercise plans, and monitor their improvement
• Develop athletic qualities and physical performance of individual players to meet the demands of the modern game across formats
• Modify exercise plans based on player needs, potential injuries or health issues, and conduct individual and group fitness sessions
• Support the Sports Science & Medicine Department in improving athlete robustness through injury prevention and workload management
• Assist the Physical Performance Manager in developing the department's identity and principles aligned with performance goals

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Sports Science
• Previous work experience as a Physical Trainer or similar role
• Experience in a high-performance team environment managing strength and conditioning for professional athletes
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation, reconditioning, and exercise modification principles for cricket performance
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
• Experience working in professional cricket and with high-performance athletes
• Proven certification in CPR and First Aid
• Strong IT proficiency
• Understanding of current cricket-specific sports science and medical theories
