Senior Accountant

A Permanent Position for a Seasoned Finance Professional

Lanka Sathosa is a key player in providing affordable, quality products to the Sri Lankan community, and they are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Accountant to join their team. This permanent role is for a strategic leader who can oversee the entire financial operation and provide crucial insights for business growth.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments for FMCG products and outlet operations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies.
• Coordinate with auditors and implement audit recommendations.
• Support management with data-driven insights for decision-making and pricing strategies.
• Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Commerce/Finance or Business Administration from a UGC-recognized university, along with a postgraduate degree or a professional "Chartered" institute associate membership. OR A full membership of a recognized professional "Chartered" institute.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience at a "Managerial Level" in a corporation, statutory board, or reputed private institution.
• Age: 35-55 years.
• Experience in a reputed commercial or multinational organization is an advantage.
• Proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills.
• A Sri Lankan citizen with excellent moral character.
