MANAGER (LEGAL)

A senior-level opportunity to join Lanka Sathosa Ltd as the Manager (Legal) and play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's legal interests.

Job Role:

• Provide Legal Advice: Offer accurate and timely legal guidance to the Board, Management, and various departments on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to safeguard the organization's interests.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, minimizing legal risks to the company.
• Litigation Management: Represent the company in legal proceedings or coordinate with external counsel for effective case handling.
• Policy Development: Develop, update, and implement corporate policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines from a legal perspective.
• Training & Awareness: Conduct legal awareness sessions for employees and management to enhance understanding of regulatory obligations.

Qualifications:

• External Candidates: Bachelor's Degree in Law recognized by the U.G.C. Or an Attorney at Law.
• One (01) year Post Qualifying service experience in the subject area.
• Possession of a Colombo Notary certificate will be an added advantage.
• Age should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.

The Ideal Candidates should also:

• Have experience in a reputed commercial or Multinational organization in a similar capacity.
• Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizing skills.
• Possess strong leadership qualities and interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to demonstrate good IT skills.
• A proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams.

The Salary & other allowances will be paid subject to Government Circulars. The appointment is on a permanent basis with entitlement to EPF and ETF.
