Marketing & Social Media Handler

BE THE VOICE OF CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

At XGENLABS, we build cutting-edge software solutions that solve real-world problems. We are a team of innovators, developers, and creators, and we are looking for a creative storyteller to help us share our journey, showcase our tech, and connect with our global community.

If you are obsessed with digital trends, love translating complex tech concepts into engaging content, and know how to build an active online community, we want you on our team! You will bridge the gap between engineering and empathy, turning software updates, company culture, and tech insights into scroll-stopping content.

Your Role:

  • Content Creation: Create high-quality, engaging content (images, videos, reels, stories, and copy) that reflects our brand and tech expertise.
  • Strategy & Planning: Plan and execute social media strategies that align with our marketing goals and drive engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation.
  • Community Engagement: Interact with our audience, respond to comments and messages, and build meaningful relationships.
  • Platform Management: Manage and grow our presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Analytics & Growth: Track performance metrics, analyse data, and continuously optimise content and campaigns to improve reach and ROI.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 1-3 years of experience managing social media accounts, ideally for a B2B SaaS company, agency, or tech startup.
  • Tech-Savvy: A genuine interest in technology and the ability to understand and communicate complex topics simply.
  • Proficiency with content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Premiere/CapCut, Figma, and social scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, or Hootsuite).
  • Copywriting Skills: Strong writing skills with a knack for crafting clear, compelling, and on-brand messages.
  • Trend Spotter: You live and breathe social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and performance bonuses.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid/remote work options.
  • Collaboration with a brilliant, forward-thinking team of developers and creatives.
  • Access to continuous learning and professional marketing certifications.

Send your resume along with a portfolio of your social media work to hr@xgenlabs.com.au. Please indicate the position applied for in the subject line.

The Power of Storytelling in the Tech Sector

The software and technology sector is built on complex codes, robust algorithms, and intricate data systems. However, the end users of these products are human beings looking for simple solutions to their daily problems. This is where digital marketing and social media management become indispensable in the tech industry. A great tech product will struggle to gain traction if its value proposition isn't communicated effectively. Marketers in the SaaS (Software as a Service) space play the critical role of translating technical jargon into compelling narratives that resonate with everyday users and corporate clients alike.

With the rise of hybrid and remote work models, roles in digital marketing have become highly adaptable. Professionals can now manage global tech brands, build thriving online communities, and execute data-driven campaigns from virtually anywhere in the world.

Why Choose a Marketing Career in Tech?

  • Constant Innovation: The tech sector moves fast. You will always be learning about new tools, software updates, and market shifts, keeping your daily tasks fresh and exciting.
  • Creative Freedom: Startups and tech companies often encourage out-of-the-box thinking, allowing you to experiment with viral video formats, clever copy, and interactive content.
  • High Demand: As more businesses digitize their operations, the need for skilled marketers who understand B2B landscapes and SaaS products is rapidly growing.
  • Data-Driven Results: Digital marketing in tech relies heavily on analytics, meaning you can directly measure the impact of your creativity on the company's bottom line.

Tips for Succeeding as a Social Media Handler

To stand out in tech marketing, you must cultivate a genuine curiosity about how software works. You don't need to be a developer, but understanding the core pain points your product solves will drastically improve your copywriting. Stay on top of platform algorithm changes, as what works on LinkedIn today might require a different approach tomorrow. Building a versatile skill set—spanning graphic design, short-form video editing, and community management—will make you an invaluable asset.

Finally, prioritize authenticity. The modern digital audience values transparency and real human connection over highly polished corporate speak. Showcasing the people behind the code is often just as effective as showcasing the software itself.
