Safety Officer (Construction)

We are currently looking for a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and fostering a culture of safety across our active construction sites to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Implement and maintain site safety procedures and policies.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety awareness programs.
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safety equipment.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Maintain safety records, checklists, and vital documentation.
• Coordinate with site management to proactively address safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and company requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• NEBOSH / IOSH qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in construction.
• Good knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to identify hazards and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work directly at construction sites.
