E-Commerce Operations Assistant

Makeen Books is a premier destination for book lovers in Sri Lanka, located in the heart of Colombo 3. We are looking for an organized and energetic E-Commerce Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team and help manage our growing digital presence.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our online store runs smoothly, our social media community stays engaged, and our customers receive world-class service. This position is ideally suited for female candidates residing in Colombo or its nearby suburbs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end e-commerce tasks including product listings, pricing updates, and order processing.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly via phone, email, and social media platforms.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock-outs or overstock situations.
• Plan, schedule, and manage social media content calendars.
• Engage with followers, manage comments/messages, and analyze performance to boost sales.

Candidate Requirements:

• Fluency in English and Sinhala (spoken and written); knowledge of Tamil is a plus.
• Age between 20 and 35 years.
• Proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Solid understanding of customer service practices and principles.
• Organized, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Recruitment is limited to female candidates for this role.
• Preference given to candidates located in Colombo or nearby suburbs.
