Business Systems Analyst Vacancy - SriLankan Airlines

The Crucial Role of Systems Analysis in Global Aviation

In the hyper-competitive aviation industry, the efficiency of Commercial and Finance Systems directly impacts the bottom line. A Business Systems Analyst (BSA) at SriLankan Airlines acts as the bridge between complex business needs and technical IT solutions. Whether it is optimizing ticket revenue data or streamlining financial reporting via Oracle EBS, the BSA ensures that technology serves the strategic goals of the airline.

Working within a oneworld alliance member environment provides exposure to international standards and cross-platform integrations. Analysts must handle vast data models while ensuring compliance with global information privacy regulations, making this one of the most intellectually stimulating roles in Sri Lanka's IT landscape.

Why Join the SriLankan IT Team?

  • Enterprise Experience: Gain deep expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), a global standard for enterprise management.
  • Digital Transformation: Participate in high-impact projects that redefine how the airline interacts with passengers and partners.
  • Security Advocacy: Become a specialist in information assets protection through the implementation of CIS&PM protocols.
  • Career Prestige: Be part of an award-winning team at the National Carrier, recognized for innovation in the region.
  • Strategic Impact: Your analytical solutions will directly contribute to cost savings and revenue generation for Sri Lanka's flagship airline.

Key Competencies for a Successful BSA Application

To stand out for this position, emphasize your experience with Functional Requirement Documentation (FRD) and technical architecture. Demonstrating a track record of identifying bottlenecks in financial processes and resolving them through technical configuration is highly valued. Familiarity with the Oracle Inc support ecosystem and experience in supervisory roles will also give you a significant edge.

Remember to highlight any specific projects where you balanced technical requirements with business feasibility, as the ability to "assist supervisors in selecting the appropriate solution" is a key part of the daily workflow.
